About him

Daniel Hövel has broad experience in Intellectual Property law as well as in privacy, commercial and contract law. He advises companies on the drafting and negotiation of distribution and licensing agreements as well as on the establishment, monitoring and defense of Intellectual Property rights. A focus of his practice is Litigation, particularly in Trademark, Design and Patent law matters.

Daniel Hövel’s practice also focuses on advising clients from the agency and media industry, in particular on data protection compliance, advertising agency contracts, testimonial and merchandising engagements, licensing issues and general contract drafting.

Daniel Hövel also advises and represents individuals, companies and associations in the event of data breaches or crisis situations, in particular in the prevention and elimination of statements that damage reputation or image.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Hövel is a lecturer in litigation and tactics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. He can also draw on several years of experience as a consultant in a management consultancy specializing in strategic brand management.
